A lone sunrise brightens the Pong Reservoir’s shores, painting time in quiet silhouette. This is the Citadel of Time – Pong Dam Edition: a 40–50 acre sanctuary of silence and purpose. Perched above the historic Maharana Pratap Sagar (Pong Dam) lake , it calls to those who seek permanence in nature’s company. Here, the pace is slow and intentional; the skyline of snow peaks on the horizon is a reminder of Earth’s deep patience.

Location

  • Spread across two adjacent parcels on the Pong Reservoir, the site totals about 40–50 acres of forest and meadow. The highest promontory (15 acres) overlooks the blue expanse of Maharana Pratap Sagar and gazes north toward the snowcapped Dhauladhar Range . For scale, Pong Sagar itself covers roughly 60,610 acres of water , making the reservoir a vast, shimmering backdrop.

  • The Pong Reservoir (Maharana Pratap Sagar) is a renowned wildlife refuge – a designated sanctuary and India’s first Ramsar wetland in the state . In winter hundreds of migratory ducks, cranes, and shorebirds gather here, drawn by the protected shallows.

  • The steep Dhauladhar peaks rise directly from the valley, reaching nearly 6,000 m (Hanuman Tibba, 5,982 m) . From the Citadel one looks up into the sky’s stillness, framed by jagged snow fields and forests.

  • Accessible by boat on Pong Lake or a short drive from Kangra Valley towns, the Citadel enjoys clear winter air and monsoon-fed summers. The climate is four-season – warm, rainy summers and mild, dry winters – ideal for year-round retreat living.

We draw on timeless design principles: every building has a “strong sense of place” and feels inherently right in this landscape . Our goal is a simple elegance that will be “loved, appreciated, and cherished” for generations.

  • Harmonious Footprint: Homes are sited to preserve groves and to frame the distant peaks . Floor-to-ceiling windows and open galleries dissolve boundaries with the outdoors, inviting the forest and lake light into daily life.

  • Natural Materials: Local stone, wood, and clay form a warm, neutral palette that blends with the site. Over time these materials will weather and mature, reinforcing the sense of permanence and connection to place.

  • Sustainability: Modern comforts are provided in the spirit of minimal impact. Discreet solar power, rainwater harvesting, and high-efficiency design ensure each home approaches net-zero energy. The result is sophisticated comfort served by simple means.

Ownership

  • Parcels within the Citadel are offered directly to individuals aligned with our ethos. Each ownership comes with a stewardship covenant – a commitment to maintain the silence, ecology, and long-range vision of the community. Prospective stewards engage through a private inquiry process to ensure mutual understanding.

  • Select freehold parcels (pre-sized to balance seclusion and community) are available. Owners gain full title, subject only to the land-management plan that preserves the Citadel’s character.
